MentalClarity is a personal mood and journal tracking app. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
MentalClarity is developed and maintained by Joshua Douce. If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at: joshuadouce@gmail.com
MentalClarity stores the following information on your device only:
This data never leaves your device. It is stored in a local database (SQLite) and is not transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.
If you enable daily reminders, MentalClarity schedules a local notification on your device. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device — no data is sent to any external server to trigger them. You can disable notifications at any time in the app or in your device settings.
If you enable App Lock, MentalClarity uses your device's built-in authentication system (Face ID, fingerprint, or passcode). We never receive, process, or store your biometric data — this is handled entirely by your device's operating system (iOS or Android).
MentalClarity is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
A future version of MentalClarity may offer optional cloud sync so you can access your data across multiple devices. This will be entirely opt-in. If and when this feature is added, this privacy policy will be updated to explain what data would be synced, where it would be stored, and how you can delete it.
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all MentalClarity data at any time by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling removes the local database and all associated data permanently.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
